Physiotherapy Services at Prime Physiotherapy Clinic
A physiotherapist gives all six treatments below, and each summary says what it involves and who it may help. Not sure which suits you? Start with a physiotherapy assessment, which includes your first treatment, or book massage, acupuncture or trigger point therapy on their own.
Physiotherapy Assessment
A good first step if you are unsure. We ask about your symptoms and health, check how you move, explain what we find and start treatment in the same 45 minutes.
£50 for 45 minutes
Manual Therapy
Hands-on joint mobilisation that may help back pain and stiff, painful joints, with manipulation only when suitable and never of the neck. It always comes with exercises to keep up at home.
£50 for 45 minutes
Exercise Prescription
We plan exercises from your assessment, coach you through them in the clinic and give you sheets on paper or by email. Rehab after an operation follows your surgeon's or hospital team's advice.
£50 for 45 minutes
Muscle & Trigger Point Therapy
Sustained pressure and stretching for knotted, tender muscles, like neck and shoulder tension from desk work. It may help, though no result is promised, and dry needling in the same visit happens only with your consent.
£50 for 45 minutes
Sports & Deep Tissue Massage
Sports massage may help tight or sore muscles from training or desk work; deep tissue massage uses slower, firmer pressure. A physiotherapist gives both in the clinic, and you can book one on its own.
£50 for 45 minutes
Acupuncture & Dry Needling
Western medical acupuncture may bring short-term relief from neck pain or tension-type headaches, and dry needling uses the same single-use sterile needles. For long-term pain with no clear cause, NICE says one course can be considered.
£50 for 45 minutes
Physiotherapy for Pain, Injury and Joint Problems
Physiotherapy may help with the problems below. Your assessment shows which treatment suits you, or whether you should see a GP first.
Back Pain and Sciatica
Lower back pain, lumbago, muscle spasm, and sciatica, where pain spreads into a leg. As NICE advises, hands-on treatment always comes with exercise.
Neck and Shoulder Pain
Neck pain and stiffness, shoulder pain, and tension across the neck and shoulders after long hours at a desk.
Knee, Hip and Other Joint Pain
Knee, hip, ankle or elbow pain, arthritic pain, and getting active again after an operation like a knee replacement.
Muscle Tightness and Minor Sports Injuries
Sprains, strains and other minor sports injuries, muscle spasm and tightness, knots in the upper back, and muscles that ache after training.
This page is general information, not a diagnosis, and each treatment page lists when to get urgent help instead. For a life-threatening emergency, call 999. If you need medical help now or are unsure what to do, use NHS 111 (NHS pages checked on 19 October 2026).
